Designed and quilted by Marlene Brown Woodfield.
9″ wide by 12″ high. Original design, 2012.
Materials/techniques: Cotton fabric and Tsukineko ink were used to create this early Spring scene. It is machine applied and quilted, piped and traditionally bound.
Artist’s statement: Brrrrr. The tulips are caught in a Spring snowstorm. Snow is collecting on the wet muddy ground at their feet. How could it be April and the snow still coming?
Dedicated: To my friend Crystal’s mother, Jane Kimiko Izumi, who fought the Alzheimer’s battle.
Raised for AAQI: $90. March 2013 direct sale.
