Materials/techniques: Cotton fabric, hand appliqued, embellished with Setacolor pearl paint and paint sticks, piped, traditionally bound, signed, machine quilted.
Artist’s statement: The windy city, Chicago, as viewed from the other side of Lake Michigan. With white caps gently rolling in splashing on the Indiana Dunes, this giant city appears peaceful and quiet. It is a view that is always a thrill to see.
Dedicated: This water scene is in honor of Bill Staples who was a Navy man, sailor, and boat captain.
