Materials/techniques: Cotton fabric, fused applique’ and branches painted and snowcovered using Tsukineko ink create this Winter scene. It is machine quilted, signed, piped and traditionally bound.
Artist’s statement: This gathering of beautiful birds takes place in the Winter when the male Cardinal really stands out in the landscape.
Dedicated: To Ami Simms who has included quilters into a Gathering to fund research for Alzheimer’s Disease. Her dedicated hard work and encouragement make earning money for this cause a lot of fun.
