Marlene was a devout Methodist and believed in the power of prayer. Combining this with her passion for fabric arts, she created a lovely Prayer Basket using vibrant fabrics. As she learned of a friend’s needs, she would write out a piece of paper with the friend’s name and deposit it in her Prayer Basket which was kept in her bedroom.

Friends loved having her prayers of support and wanted to join in the prayer circle. So, she created additional baskets and gave them to friends and family.
