Materials/techniques: Cotton fabrics, hand painted, paint-stick moon, crackled process, rough edge applique’ owl, Tsukineko ink embellishment, hand applique’ branch, machine quilted, signed, piped and traditionally bound.
Artist’s statement: From beginning to end, this quilt was a fun one to make. Living in a woods allows us to hear many variety of owls hooting at night and sometimes during the day. Occasionally, we get a good view of them sitting on a branch just as this one is doing.
